2027 Mustang Dark Horse SC Order Guide: Every Configuration, Package and Color Option
The 2027 Dark Horse SC order guide confirms three configurations: the 950A Standard Package coupe, the 970A High Package coupe and, new for 2027, the 950A Standard Package convertible. All three share the 5.2L supercharged cross-plane crank V8 and the TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Beyond the convertible, 2027 brings two new colors, Precision Purple Metallic and Incognito Green Metallic, and drops Oxford White. Ford deleted the Track Pack Special Edition (60E) on the 970A. The Three Dark Horse SC Configurations Compared
The 970A is the track-focused coupe, built around an included Track Pack, carbon fiber wheels and carbon ceramic brakes. The convertible starts from the 950A coupe’s standard equipment and swaps in its own suspension, aero and brake caliper finish.

970A High Package Coupe
The 970A includes the Track Pack and Classic Package outright, plus carbon hardware. The 970A’s Track Pack Special Edition (60E) is deleted for 2027.

Ford notes the RECARO seats do not include heat, ventilation or memory, and the sideview mirrors lose memory as well.

Dark Horse SC 950A Convertible
The convertible is offered only as a 950A Standard Package, and its equipment group lists eight items that set it apart from the coupe:
- Brembo brake calipers in Silver Argento with a black logo
- Uniquely tuned MagneRide damping
- Standard-duty shock absorber mountings, in place of the coupe’s lowered mountings
- Reduced-drag rear spoiler
- Unique carbon fiber hood vent
- LED sequential taillamps with welcome/farewell approach animation
- Mini overhead console
- Fixed rear seat
The convertible doesn’t offer RECARO seats, so every convertible uses the leather-trimmed power sport seats. Front-row airbag coverage also changes: the convertible uses driver and passenger head side airbags in the front row instead of the coupe’s side curtain airbags.
Options and Packages
The Carbon Fiber Exterior Package is the only appearance package offered on all three configurations; the Teal Accent Package and Black Painted Roof are available only on the 970A.

The Teal Accent Package replaces the Classic Package, requires the Teal RECARO Dinamica interior (G1) and cannot be ordered with Race Red paint. The Black Painted Roof is not available with Shadow Black Metallic. Dealer-installed options for all three are a cargo net kit, carpeted driver and passenger floor mats with a logo on the driver side and a first aid kit.
Dark Horse SC Colors and Interiors
All eight 2027 Dark Horse SC colors are available in every configuration, except Race Red, which cannot be paired with the Teal Accent Package. Oxford White is no longer offered.

What the Guide Does Not Answer Yet
Horsepower, torque, compression ratio and fuel economy for the 5.2L supercharged V8 are all listed as TBD. Pricing isn’t included in the order guide. MFC will update this article when Ford publishes official 2027 figures.
