2027 Ford Mustang Order Guide: Everything That Changed, From EcoBoost to Dark Horse SC

Ford’s 2027 Mustang order guides are now public, first posted by Mustang7G, and they cover the full lineup from the EcoBoost through the Dark Horse SC. Both guides are dated October 15, 2026.

For the core Mustang, 2027 is a refinement year. The guide lists no new or deleted trims and no mechanical changes. The updates land in colors, equipment and packages. The bigger story is the Dark Horse SC, where the guide details exactly what the convertible gets over the coupe.

Below is every change the guides list. Each trim family gets its own in-depth article, linked at the bottom. As always with order guides, Ford notes that features, options and package content are subject to change.

The 2027 Mustang Lineup at a Glance

The 2027 lineup spans six trim families: ten Mustang equipment groups plus three Dark Horse SC configurations.

Dark Horse SC: What the Convertible Adds

The Dark Horse SC convertible orders as the 950A Standard Package, alongside the 950A and 970A coupes. The equipment group table lists eight items included with the convertible:

• Brembo brake calipers in Silver Argento with a black logo
• Reduced-drag rear spoiler
• Uniquely tuned MagneRide damping
• Unique carbon fiber hood vent
• LED sequential taillamps with welcome/farewell approach animation
• Mini overhead console
• Fixed rear seat
• Standard-duty shock absorber mountings, in place of the coupe’s lowered mountings

All three configurations use the 5.2L supercharged cross-plane crank V8 and the TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The SC also adds two colors for 2027, Precision Purple Metallic (CR) and Incognito Green Metallic (C5), and drops Oxford White (YZ). The 970A coupe’s Track Pack Special Edition (60E) is deleted. New and Deleted Colors on the 2027 Mustang

Precision Purple Metallic (CR) is the one new color across the 2027 Mustang lineup, and Vapor Blue Metallic and Blue Ember Metallic are deleted. Argon Blue Metallic (E9) is new to the Dark Horse, available only on the 700A with the Dark Horse Appearance Package (54C), the slot Blue Ember Metallic held for 2026. Incognito Green Metallic (C5) is also new for 2027, but it is exclusive to the Dark Horse SC and does not appear in the standard Mustang color charts.

Equipment Changes

The equipment changes are small. Two are added as standard content the rest are adjusted or removed.

• Remote Start: Ford app Remote Start is now standard on the EcoBoost 100A and above.
• Floor mats: First-row carpeted black floor mats are now standard on all series. For 2026, they were a mandatory option on the EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, and GT Premium.
• Wipers: Rain-sensing wipers are replaced with intermittent variable windshield wipers.
• Turn signals: The memory sideview mirrors on the 201A, 401A and 700A no longer include integrated turn signals.
• Door rollover: The EcoBoost Premium 200A switches from soft door rollover to hard door rollover.
• Interior: The Emberglo (3J) interior is no longer available.

New: Wheel and Stripe Package (60B)

The only new package in the 2027 Mustang guide is the Wheel and Stripe Package (60B), optional on the EcoBoost 100A and 101A and the EcoBoost Premium 200A and 201A. Ford is bringing back the name after dropping the previous Wheel and Stripe Package (605) for 2026. The new version includes:

• 19″ x 8.5″ machined aluminum wheels with 255/40R19 W-rated tires
• Black hood accent stripe

The 60B cannot be combined with the Bronze Appearance Package (60L), the Mustang RTR Performance Package (67U) or the Mustang Nite Pony Package (60G).

New: Ford Security Package

Every 2027 Mustang, including the Dark Horse SC, comes standard with the Ford Security Package for one year upon activation. It includes theft alerts, start inhibit and stolen vehicle services, and Ford notes features may vary with software updates.

Buyers can instead order a one-time purchase (61T) that keeps the package active for at least seven years from the new-vehicle warranty start date. It stays with that VIN and cannot transfer to another vehicle. Neither version is available through Military Personnel Sales (WAFAC)

What the Guide Does Not Answer Yet

Horsepower, torque, compression ratio and fuel economy are listed as TBD for every 2027 powertrain, including the Dark Horse SC’s 5.2L supercharged V8. Pricing isn’t included in the order guide. MFC will update this article when Ford publishes official 2027 ratings.
