2027 Mustang Dark Horse Order Guide: Changes, Packages and Colors
The 2027 Mustang Dark Horse remains a fastback in two equipment groups: the 600A High Package and the 700A Deluxe Package. The hardware is unchanged from 2026: the 5.0L 4V DOHC V8, a standard 10-speed automatic and an optional TREMEC 6-speed manual.
The 2027 changes are in color and equipment. Precision Purple Metallic joins the lineup, and Argon Blue Metallic replaces Blue Ember as the exclusive color for the Dark Horse Appearance Package. 600A High Package vs. 700A Deluxe Package
The 700A is a comfort and appearance upgrade; both groups share the same powertrain, chassis and performance hardware. It also opens up the Dark Horse Appearance Package and Argon Blue, which the 600A cannot order.
The 700A adds:
- Heated and ventilated front seats
- Memory driver seat (three settings) and memory heated mirrors with Dark Horse puddle lamps
- Premier Trim with Color Accent Group: accent-stitched console lid and shifter boot, color-accented seats and door trim
- Approach detection with welcome/farewell exterior lighting
- Aluminum foot pedals
- Anti-Theft Package (intrusion and inclination sensors, locking center console, wheel locking kit), which is a 600A option
The 600A uses a Black Cloth with Blue Accents interior (2A). The 700A uses Black/Blue Dinamica (AA). Climate-controlled seats and memory are not available with the optional RECARO seats.

The Dark Horse includes all Mustang GT 301A content, plus its own engine, brakes and chassis hardware.

- Performance rear spoiler in Tarnish Dark
- Active valve performance exhaust with black tips
- Dark Horse badges on the front fenders and decklid

- Magnesium-framed panoramic curved display
- Heated leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel with performance suede
- Dark Horse instrument panel badge with unique chassis number

- Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+, including adaptive cruise control (with Stop & Go on the automatic)
- Ford Connectivity Package, including Connected Navigation, for one year
Dark Horse Handling Package and Appearance Package
The Handling Package (67P) is optional on both the 600A and 700A; the Appearance Package (54C) is 700A only.
Dark Horse Handling Package (67P)
- 19″ x 10.5″ front and 19″ x 11″ rear Tarnished Dark painted wheels with 305/30R19 front and 315/30R19 rear tires
- Adjustable strut top mounts, installed at the plant
- Performance front aero splitter, placed in the vehicle for installation after sale
- Performance rear spoiler with Gurney flap, painted Shadow Black
- Magnetic damping and revised chassis tuning
- Front tow hooks
The optional Sinister Bronze wheels (647) cannot be ordered with the Handling Package.
Dark Horse Appearance Package (54C)
- Additional blue accents on the seats
- Black painted roof
- Notorious Blue Brembo calipers with Grabber Blue logo
- Unique hood graphic
The black roof is dropped with Shadow Black paint or with the custom painted hood stripe (47W). The hood graphic is dropped with Matte Clear Film (47M). The 54C is required for Argon Blue and cannot be ordered with Race Red, Molten Magenta, Orange Fury or the red brake calipers (18F).
Other Options
Nearly every remaining option is available in both groups; the Anti-Theft Package is the only one that differs, as a 600A option included in the 700A.

Matte Clear Film cannot be combined with the standard hood stripe or the custom painted stripe. The RECARO seats drop heating, ventilation and memory. Dealer-installed options are a cargo net kit, logo floor mats, a black indoor car cover and a blue outdoor car cover.
Colors, Interiors and Stripes
Nine colors are available on the 600A and 700A, and the Appearance Package narrows the 700A to five, including the exclusive Argon Blue.

Hood stripes
- Standard on the 600A and 700A: Tarnish Dark low-gloss and gloss black vinyl stripe with pattern (858)
- Standard with the Appearance Package: gloss black vinyl stripe with pattern and Tarnish Dark Anodized accent (85A)
- Optional painted stripe (47W): Tarnish Dark high gloss with Shadow Black (85W) on every color except Shadow Black, which gets Tarnish Dark high gloss with Tuxedo Black (85C)
What the Guide Does Not Answer Yet
Horsepower, torque, compression ratio and fuel economy for the 2027 Dark Horse are listed as TBD for both transmissions. The order guide doesn’t include pricing. MFC will update this article when Ford publishes official 2027 figures.
