2027 Mustang Colors: Every Paint Code, Price and Trim

The 2027 Mustang comes in ten exterior colors across the EcoBoost, GT and Dark Horse, and the Dark Horse SC adds one more of its own. That count comes straight from Ford’s 2027 order guides, both dated October 15, 2026.

The headline is Precision Purple Metallic, the only new color offered across the entire lineup. Argon Blue Metallic, a Dark Horse SC exclusive for 2026, now reaches the Dark Horse through its Appearance Package. Vapor Blue Metallic and Blue Ember Metallic are gone.

Order guides change during the model year. In 2026, Ford’s Job 2 revision added one color and removed two. Everything below reflects the launch guide, and we will update this article if a 2027 revision changes the palette.

Every 2027 Mustang Color, One by One

Precision Purple Metallic (CR)

Precision Purple is the only new color in the 2027 Mustang lineup, debuting on the Dark Horse SC convertible. It is an extra-cost metallic offered on every series from the EcoBoost 100A to the Dark Horse SC. It is also available with the Dark Horse Appearance Package, the FX Package and the RTR Appearance Package, and the 2027 guides list no interior restrictions for it.

Incognito Green Metallic (C5)

Ford has not released images of Incognito Green yet. We will add photos as soon as Ford releases them.

Incognito Green is new for 2027 and exclusive to the Dark Horse SC. It is an extra-cost metallic available on all three SC configurations: the 950A coupe, the 970A coupe and the new 950A convertible. It pairs with every SC interior, including the Teal Accent Package.

Argon Blue Metallic (E9)

Argon Blue moves beyond the Dark Horse SC for 2027. On the Dark Horse it is available only on the 700A with the Dark Horse Appearance Package (54C), taking the slot Blue Ember Metallic held for 2026. The package adds blue seat accents, a black painted roof, Notorious Blue Brembo calipers with a Grabber Blue logo and a unique hood graphic. On the Dark Horse SC, Argon Blue is an extra-cost color on all three configurations; Ford’s Dark Horse color chart does not mark it as an extra-charge paint.

Adriatic Blue Metallic (B2)

Adriatic Blue joined the lineup for 2026 and returns for 2027 as an extra-cost metallic on every series, from the EcoBoost to the Dark Horse SC. It is one of five colors offered with the Dark Horse Appearance Package and is also available with the FX Package. It is not available with the Carmine Red interior on the EcoBoost Premium 201A and GT Premium 401A.

Avalanche Gray (DR)

Avalanche Gray was added to the 2026 lineup at Job 2 and carries over for 2027 as an extra-cost color on every series, including the Dark Horse SC. It is available with the Dark Horse Appearance Package, the FX Package and both RTR interiors.

Carbonized Gray Metallic (M7)

Carbonized Gray is one of three no-charge colors for 2027 and is available on every series, including the Dark Horse SC, and with the FX Package. It is not offered with the Dark Horse Appearance Package.

Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (DT)

Molten Magenta is an extra-cost tinted clearcoat available on the EcoBoost, GT and Dark Horse, including with the FX Package. It is not offered on the Dark Horse SC, with the Dark Horse Appearance Package, with the RTR Appearance Package or with the RTR’s Black Onyx with Hyper Lime Accents interior. The Over-the-Top Matte Black/Red Accent stripe is also not available on Molten Magenta.

Orange Fury Metallic Tri-coat (NL)

Orange Fury joined the lineup for 2026 and returns as an extra-cost tri-coat on the EcoBoost, GT and Dark Horse. It carries more restrictions than any other 2027 color. It is not offered on the Dark Horse SC, with the FX Package, with the Dark Horse Appearance Package, with the RTR Appearance Package or with the RTR’s Hyper Lime Accents interior. The GT’s optional Notorious Blue brake calipers also cannot be paired with it.

Oxford White (YZ)

Oxford White is a no-charge color on the EcoBoost, GT and Dark Horse, and it is available with the FX Package, whose wheels and badge accents are finished in Oxford White. For 2027, it is dropped from the Dark Horse SC, and it is not offered with the Dark Horse Appearance Package.

Race Red (PQ)

Race Red is an extra-cost color on every series for 2027, including the Dark Horse SC. It is not offered with the Dark Horse Appearance Package, the RTR Appearance Package, the RTR’s Hyper Lime Accents interior or the Dark Horse SC Teal Accent Package. The Over-the-Top Matte Black/Red Accent stripe is also not available on Race Red.

Shadow Black Metallic (G1)

Shadow Black is a no-charge metallic available on every series and with every package, including the Dark Horse Appearance Package and the FX Package. Several packages adjust around it: the Nite Pony and Dark Horse Appearance packages drop the painted black roof on Shadow Black cars, the Dark Horse SC’s optional Black Painted Roof isn’t available with it, and the Over-the-Top Opacity Fade stripe isn’t offered on it.

What Ford Removed

As of the October 15, 2026 guides, Ford removed two colors from the 2027 Mustang and one from the Dark Horse SC:

  • Vapor Blue Metallic (K1), previously offered on the EcoBoost, GT and Dark Horse
  • Blue Ember Metallic (E1), previously the Dark Horse Appearance Package color
  • Oxford White (YZ) on the Dark Horse SC; it remains available on every other series

The Emberglo interior (3J), offered on the EcoBoost Premium 200A and GT Premium 400A for 2026, is also deleted. Any colors added or removed in a 2027 Job 2 revision will be listed here.

2027 Mustang Colors by Trim

EcoBoost and EcoBoost Premium

Nine colors are offered: Adriatic Blue, Avalanche Gray, Carbonized Gray, Molten Magenta, Orange Fury, Oxford White, Precision Purple, Race Red and Shadow Black. Interiors are Black Onyx and Space Gray across the range, with Carmine Red added on the EcoBoost Premium 201A with Premier Trim. Adriatic Blue is not available with the Carmine Red interior.

GT and GT Premium

The same nine colors are offered. Every group offers Black Onyx and Space Gray interiors, with Carmine Red on the GT Premium 401A and two FX Package interiors on the GT Premium. Adriatic Blue isn’t available with Carmine Red, and Orange Fury isn’t available with the FX Package.

Dark Horse

The 600A and 700A offer the same nine colors. The Dark Horse Appearance Package (54C) on the 700A narrows the list to five: Adriatic Blue, Argon Blue, Avalanche Gray, Precision Purple and Shadow Black. Interiors are Black Cloth with Blue Accents on the 600A and Black/Blue Dinamica on the 700A, with a RECARO micro-suede option on both.

Beyond the Mainstream Lineup: Dark Horse SC

The Dark Horse SC has a shorter list of eight colors, all available on every configuration:

Color Code Price Notes
Adriatic Blue Metallic B2 Extra cost
Argon Blue Metallic E9 Extra cost
Avalanche Gray DR Extra cost
Carbonized Gray Metallic M7 No charge
Incognito Green Metallic C5 Extra cost New for 2027, SC exclusive
Precision Purple Metallic CR Extra cost New for 2027

The FX Package and Its Color Rules

The Mustang FX Package (54B) is a GT Premium 400A and 401A option built around Oxford White accents: Oxford White wheels and badge treatment, unique white taillights, a rear window graphic on the fastback, and black mirror caps. Its color rules for 2027:

  • Eight colors are available; Orange Fury Metallic Tri-coat is not offered with the FX Package
  • Black seat belts only; the optional Race Red, Black with Red Stripe, Prime Blue and International Orange belts are not available
  • Two FX interiors: Black Onyx with Light Gray leather-trimmed plaid perforated seats (7W) or Black Onyx with Space Gray RECARO leather seats (FW)
  • Not available with the Nite Pony or Bronze Appearance packages, the Over-the-Top stripe or Matte Clear Film

The RTR Packages and Their Color Exclusions

The Mustang RTR Performance Package (67U) is a fastback-only option on the EcoBoost 101A and EcoBoost Premium 200A and 201A. Its color rules depend on the interior and on whether the RTR Appearance Package (60F) is added:

  • With the Black Onyx interior (2W, 3W, 5W), all nine EcoBoost colors are available
  • With the Black Onyx with Hyper Lime Accents interior (2E, 3E, 5E), Molten Magenta, Orange Fury and Race Red are not available
  • The RTR Appearance Package, with lime bodyside and hood stripes and Hyper Lime calipers, is not available with Molten Magenta, Orange Fury or Race Red
  • The optional seat belt colors are not available with the RTR Performance Package; belts are Hyper Lime with the Hyper Lime Accents interior and black with Black Onyx

Interior Colors and Seat Belt Options

The 2027 guides list no new interior colors, and Emberglo (3J) is the only interior deleted. Black Onyx and Space Gray remain the core interiors on the EcoBoost and GT, Carmine Red stays on the 201A and 401A, and the Dark Horse and Dark Horse SC keep their own trims.

All four optional seat belt colors carry over, including the three introduced for 2026:

  • Race Red (59A)
  • Black with Red Stripe (59K)
  • Prime Blue (59L)
  • International Orange (59M)

Prime Blue and International Orange are not available with the Carmine Red interior. The Dark Horse offers Race Red, Black with Red Stripe and Prime Blue. The Dark Horse SC offers all four on the 950A coupe and convertible. On the 970A, Race Red and Black with Red Stripe are offered with the Teal Accent or Classic Package, and the Teal Accent Package includes teal belts.

Cars ordered with the Mustang RTR Performance Package (67U) follow their own seat belt rules. With the Black Onyx with Hyper Lime Accents interior (2E on the EcoBoost 101A, 3E on the EcoBoost Premium 200A, and 5E on the EcoBoost Premium 201A), Hyper Lime Green seat belts are standard instead of black. With the Black Onyx interior, RTR-equipped cars get black belts. The four optional belt colors are not available with the RTR Performance Package.

How to Find Your 2027 Mustang’s Paint Code

The exterior paint code is printed on the certification label in the driver-side door jamb, next to “EXT PNT.” On the S650, it is a two-character code, the same codes listed in the tables above.

When buying touch-up paint or matching a panel, go by the code, not the color name. Ford has reused names across generations, and finishes change, so the code is the only reliable match.
