2022 Mustang Exterior Color Options
The exterior color options for the upcoming 2022 Ford Mustang have been posted on social media along with the 2022 Shelby GT500 color options. There are 13 total exterior color options available with some never before seen colors making an appearance for the first time. These new colors include Eruption Green, Atlas Blue, Dark Matter Gray, and Mischievous Purple Metallic.

I recently got my hands on the 2022 Ford Exterior Color Options brochure that Ford dealers receive. Inside, there are color samples for each color available on every Ford model. I snapped some images with my phone for the time being to give you guys a closer look at some of the colors straight from the Ford brochure! *These images haven’t been altered aside from being cropped. I used a flashlight to try and get the color and metallic flake to pop like it was in sunlight.

2022 Mustang Exterior Color Option – Eruption Green
Ford doesn’t have a green often as an exterior color option but when they do, they are bangers! Joe Z at Al Packer Ford shared these images of an Eruption Green Mustang that recently landed on their dealer lot. This color is intense under direct sunlight!
2022 Mustang Exterior Color Option – Mischievous Purple Mustang
This new color is the closest we have gotten to a Mystic / Mystichrome exterior color option since the SN95 days! @dan__ryan sent over some images of a 2022 Mischievous Purple Mustang that he photo’d recently. This is the first time we have seen this color on an actual Mustang. In most instances, it seems almost black but when the light hits it just right it has an intense purple hue with tons of metallic! If you look at the up-close image of the front bumper, you can see more of a blue hue in the shadows but the metallic flake is still really noticeable even in the shadows.

2022 Grabber Blue Metallic Mustang
Grabber Blue is making a comeback but this time it has some metallic in it! The last time it was seen was back in 2017 on the 1st generation S550 Mustangs. Fighter Jet Gray which was introduced on the 2021 Mustang Mach 1, is now available on the 2022 Ford Mustang.
2022 Cyber Orange Metallic Mustang
Cyber Orange Metallic debuted on the 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT and will be making an appearance on the Ford Mustang in ’22. You can see a Cyber Orange Metallic, 2022 Mustang GT/CS, in the image below.

2022 Atlas Blue Mustang
Atlas Blue has made an appearance on the 2022 Ford Super Duty, it’s very similar to Antimatter Blue but not as deep of a blue hue.
