2021 Mustang color options have been revealed!

Earlier today I was scrolling through one of the many GT500 Facebook Groups that I’m in and stumbled across an image with the 2021 Mustang color options. At first, I thought this was just something someone slapped together as it had a few familiar names and some new ones. I traced the image back to Mustang 6G where it was shared and included a link to a company called Automotive Touch Up.

Automotive Touch Up has a long standing history of mixing their own proprietary paint formulas for body shops and collision centers. They have grown to become the nation’s leading provider of specialty automotive spray paint cans, touch up bottles and touch up pens. Under the “About Us” page on their site, it states that they have formulated over 60,000 original OEM colors!

After reading all of that, I proceeded to input 2021 Ford Mustang on their paint finder search tool and there they were!

In total, there are 12 exterior color options on the 2021 Ford Mustang. Brand new color options include:

• Absolute Black
• Antimatter Blue Metallic
• Carbonized Gray Metallic (This color is available on the Mustang Mach-E also!)
• Fighter Jet Gray
• Lucid Red Pearl
• Yellow Peel

Ford Performance Blue Metallic and Twister Orange are currently only available on 2020 Shelby GT350/R & GT500. This will be the first year these colors will be available on standard Ford Mustang models.

Discontinued Mustang exterior colors for 2021

With 5 new exterior color options being available on 2021 Mustang, there had to be some color options that leave the color pallette. The following colors are leaving the Ford Mustang exterior color options pallette:

• Grabber Lime
• Shadow Black
• Magnetic
• Rapid Red
• Kona Blue
