UPR Products Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank
I remember the first time I got to see under the hood of the 2015 Mustang. My eyes went straight to the OEM coolant tank that most of us in the community refer to as a “jellyfish”. I’m not sure what was the whole idea behind that design but UPR Products has an aluminum coolant tank to make underneath your hood more aesthetically pleasing. Not only will this coolant tank look better but it will give you a piece of mind. The OEM coolant tanks have known to crack under high temperature or high pressure applications.
I want to take a minute and give you my personal experience with the OEM coolant tank. I have a Cervini’s Stalker Hood installed on my 2015 Mustang GT. This hood has a functional hood scoop so there is a giant opening in my hood. Over the years, the sun has caused the top of my OEM coolant tank to crack from the exposure to the sun. I decided to replace it not only because of how it looked but also I was worried about it cracking and leaving me on the side of the road.

The UPR coolant expansion tank is a one piece welded design fabricated out of aluminum. The tank includes a billet UPR branded cap that has the same pressure rating as your OEM coolant resevoir cap. This coolant tank utilizes factory mounting points that will fit 2015 – 2020 Mustang EcoBoost, V6 and GT models.
