“DIALEDN” Boss 302 Mustang

Dialed in, a simple phrase that could have many meanings. For Cameron Lee, it means he knows what he likes when it comes to his Boss 302 so he sticks with it. Cameron has had several Mustangs in his past including, a supercharged 05’ GT, 08’ GT500 Convertible, 03’ SVT Cobra, 14’ Mustang GT and his current Mustang the 12’ Boss 302.

What started his infatuation with the Mustang was the release of the 05-09 S197 body style along with the color Redfire. I asked Cameron, “How would you describe your style when it comes to modding your Mustang?”. He replied, “Simple, less is more. Everything must flow well together.”

If you have never spoken with Cameron, you may not know him as well as I do. He is one of the reasons why I enjoy the Mustang community so much. He treats you like you are apart of his family. He will be straight forward with you if you ask for his opinion, answer questions to the best of his knowledge and he is there to listen if you need someone to talk to. Enough about Cameron, I’m sure you all get that he’s a very humble down to Earth guy! Let’s get to why you are all here, his 12’ Boss 302!

This specific Boss 302 is #0614 of 1066 built. More specifically, this car is 1 of 67 with the car cover, cloth seat and floor mats option. The stock appearance and power of the 444hp “RoadRunner” 5.0L couldn’t satisfy him for long enough. Almost instantly, Cameron ordered a new set of wheels, suspension components and already thought about ways to make more power.

His choice of wheels were a set of 20” Forgestar F14’s in Piano Black, which offset the vibrant Competition Orange paint very well. Next up was suspension, the Boss 302 already has a track oriented platform but that wasn’t satisfactory for him. Cam decided to add some Kong adjustable shocks/struts, BMR adjustable pan hard bar and Eibach sportline springs to achieve the perfect stance.

Now that the car looks and handles like Cameron would like, it’s time to add some power! After many days of researching forced induction kits and talking to the bank (his wife) he has made a decision. He went with the Procharger P-1SC-1 Stage II kit. With all of this additional power, the 5.0 needs to breathe, so he added Kooks 1 inch and 7/8 headers paired with their race catted h-pipe. The sound of the Procharger’s whistle combined with Kooks exhaust is definitely a sound that won’t grow old!

Cameron would like to thank MV Performance for the help on piecing the forced induction system together for him, dyno tuning the car and installing his longtube headers. Also, he would like to thank one of his fellow Georgia Regional Club members, Lonnie Alexander for helping him install the Procharger kit.
