Top 10 Mustangs sold at Barrett-Jackon Scottsdale 2021

If you didn’t watch the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction over the weekend, we compiled a list of the top 10 Mustangs sold. The Top 10 Mustangs sold at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale accumulated a total amount of $4,125,200!

Barrett-Jackson held their first auction of 2021 in Scottsdale, Arizona. This was one for the record books people. Six VIN 001 vehicles were auctioned which included VIN 001 2021 Mach 1. They raised over $5.8 million dollars for various charities. Although it isn’t Mustang related. VIN 001 2021 Bronco 2-door sold for a whopping $1,075,000! Enough talking, let’s get the list started!

4.) LOT 1397 | 1968 Shelby GT500 EFI Prototype – $396,000

This ’68 Shelby GT500 is a pre-production test vehicle equipped with a 428 cubic inch V8 Cobra Jet engine. It was used to test the Conelec Fuel Injection system. Only one other vehicle has this factory EFI system.

In 2010, ROUSH Performance created collaborated with Barrett-Jackson to create  25 limited edition Mustangs. These Mustangs had everything possible thrown at them as far as upgrades go. Each vehicle could be custom painted with a choice of colors from Planet Color. This particular Mustang is shown in Red Hot Chilli Pepper. 100% of the hammer price goes to the Michael Phelps Foundation.

2.) LOT 3005 | 2021 Mustang Mach 1 VIN 001 – $500,000

The Mustang Mach 1 has returned after a 17-year hiatus. Ford Motor Company auctioned VIN 001 of the 2021 Mustang Mach 1 to benefit the JDRF which supports research to cure and prevent type 1 diabetes. 100% of the hammer price went to JDRF!

1.) LOT 1395 | 1965 Shelby GT350 – $962,500

This 1965 Shelby GT350 was a barn find that Craig Jackson himself had fully restored by SAAC Head Judge John Brown of Thoroughbred Restorations. The original drivetrain was pulled from the car and completely gone through. All original components were rebuilt or, if deemed subpar, replaced with correctly date-coded superior original components.
