Replace your factory Mustang oil drain plug with UPR’s Billet Oil Drain Plug

The factory plastic oil drain plug on the 2018+ Mustang GT and 2015+ Shelby GT350 are prone to breaking after a couple of oil changes. UPR Products has come up with a solution that prevents you from replacing your drain plug after your oil changes.

The problem…

The 2015+ Shelby GT350 and 2018+ Mustang GT share the same oil pan made from a composite material. From the factory, this composite oil pan uses a plastic oil drain plug which is prone to breaking after a few oil changes.

If my Mustang had this oil pan on it, I feel like it would be a hassle to make sure I always had a spare drain plug handy just in case one broke while changing my oil. Listed around $10 a piece, these factory replacement drain plugs aren’t cheap.

The guys over at Parker Performance recently installed the UPR Products oil drain plug on their ’18 Mustang RTR. The new UPR plug is made from CNC billet aluminum for durability. It also has a magnetic tip as an extra safety precaution to catch any metal that may be in your oil. Utilizing a Viton o-ring, you can rest easy knowing that you’ll have the same snug fitment as the factory plug.

Parker Performance put together the video below to show you how simple the installation process is. If you want to purchase the UPR Billet Oil Drain Plug simply click HERE to order one today!
