Q. Tell us who KFletch is.
A. My name is Kyle Fletcher, I’m 22 years old. The answers to the following questions will provide the answer to this one.
Q. Where are you located?
A. I currently live in Weston, Florida. It is About 20 minutes from Fort Lauderdale, 30 minutes from Miami and 1 hour from Naples.
Q. What is your current job?
A. I work for Champion Porsche, as their Inventory Manager / Photographer, in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Q. How did you get interested in photography?
A. Photography has always been a huge part of my life growing up. Back in middle school when the first iPod touches came out, I would take photos of an entire auto show using the camera on it, no point behind it at all. I just did it so I can look at the photos later on. My father would give me his DSLR camera at air shows, car shows, etc.. so I can take photos of the most random things around me with still no purpose at all. It was my senior year of high school when my passion for cars really started to grow. I was gifted my first camera ( Canon T3i ) by my dad and started shooting cars in my high school parking lot. I got so involved in it I even tried to be a part of my school’s photography club but was denied the second I applied for it. So I continued shooting with the help of my best friends, Hugo Valencia, Hugo Castillo, and Jeremy Noboa for pushing me into starting a page with my own name instead of being part of a group or club. As weeks turned into months and months turned into years, my passion for photography and cars is still growing in which I don’t see it stopping, ever. I love what I do.
Q. What camera gear do you use?
A. I currently use a a Canon 6D with a 24-105L F4 and a 70-200L F2.8.
Q. Is there any piece of equipment you want but currently don’t have in your arsenal?
A. I’m dying to get my hands on a 24-70 F2.8. I am picking up the new Canon 6D mkii in a couple of weeks, pretty excited for that!
Q. Do you have any tips / tricks you have learned over the years you would like to share with us?
A. For those starting, be sure you are doing it because you love it. Don’t do it for the hype and the (followers). Do it because you love chasing the goal to better yourself. For those aiming for the next step, don’t stop. No matter what, do not stop shooting. don’t let opportunities pass, take the risk and do things you’re not used to. Buy the plane ticket to another state, drive the distance for a far shoot, take the offer that you feel like is low. You will never know what will happen if you don’t take risks because in the future you’ll look back on those moments wondering what would’ve happened if you took them.
Q. What is your favorite Mustang you have shot to date?
A. Honestly there are so many of them it’s hard to pick. One of my top favorites I recently shot was Steven Morris’ Clinch wide body Mustang out in Long Beach, California.
Q. Aside from photography, do you have any other hobbies / interests?
A. I love music. Music has helped me through the hardest of times. It has motivated me, inspired me and has even provided a more creative side to me. I also enjoy driving cars. I’m not a party guy, a drinker, etc.. My therapy is pretty simple, a nice drive with good music playing and my camera gear in the back seat.
Q. You mentioned you like music, what are some of your favorite bands?
A. Avenged Sevenfold, Starset, Parkway Drive, Motionless in White and Falling in Reverse are some of my favorites.
Q. What is your favorite Mustang on the ‘gram and why?
A. There’s a lot to be honest. One of my all time favorites being Brian McCarthy‘s Mustang (Sold). It was one of the first S550’s to be modified before others started to get their hands on them. But as of right now, some of favorites are ( @andreea_gee)’s Bagged 5.0. ( @dk.550 )’s Stage3Performance V6. ( @blakejordan)’s Grabber Blue GT350. ( @MustangFanClub )’s Roush supercharged 5.0 and ( @_stevenmorris_ )’s sick Clinch widebody 5.0.
Q. What do you drive?
A. I currently drive an Acura TL Type-S but I’m looking at getting a new car in the coming months. I can’t say what it is right now because it is a Mustangs biggest rival.
