After Mike purchased a new vehicle in 2003, he found himself wanting to swap out the brake calipers because his aftermarket wheels showed the calipers off more than the factory wheels. There were really only two options he had to choose at the time. The first option was to paint them or the second option was to buy brand new calipers. Both of those options can become very costly.
Mike thought to himself, “Why not create a brake caliper cover system that simply clips on your existing brake calipers?” In 2008, MGP was born. Today they produce over 3,000 sets of caliper covers per month and have licenses with Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep, Dodge, Honda and Acura. But we are here just to discuss the Ford Mustang side of things!

Currently, MGP Caliper Covers offers a caliper option for nearly every car on the market. Prices start at $250 for a set of four caliper covers. Their covers are made from 6061-T6 Aerospace Grade Aluminum so they are built to withstand high heat applications. Caliper covers can be customized with your choice of powder coated paint finish and custom engravings. The engravings are etched into the 6061-T aluminum caliper covers with proprietary CNC high speed engraving techniques. MGP guarantees the finish will withstand heat and/or corrosion for 3 years or more.
Installation is super simple. The hardest part is removing your wheels!
Everything you need for an easy installation is included with your MGP Caliper Covers. The caliper covers are held on to your brake calipers with stainless steel clips. On each caliper cover, there are bridges that are TIG welded to the covers for added strength. The bridges on the caliper covers slide into the stainless steel clips and fasten down with locknuts.
The caliper covers will not interfere with the way your brake system functions and they’re easy to remove if you ever need to performance maintenance on your brake system.
